Beginnings....

Describe in detail the last time you started something new, from the beginning.
What was it?
When did you try?
Were you with anyone else or was anyone else watching/observing?
How did you feel during the beginning process, afterwards?
Where were you?  Do you think the place you were made a difference in how you felt?
Why did you try it from the beginning and why do you think you felt the way you did?
How did the thing you started turn out?  Did you learn to do it?

After reflecting on a personal  past attempt at starting something new, then please hypothesize why it is often difficult for people to start something new in our lives.

Active Listening Observations

Please discuss your observations here

Fun Now versus Future Fun

We all want to have FUN...  Of course we do!
We want to enjoy life, have happiness, eat good food, watch good movies, read great books, do things that are meaningful to us and basically find what gives us joy, then do that thing as much as possible, right?
But logically speaking we also need to be working towards creating a future where we have the independence and freedom to be able to do our fun things as much as possible, hopefully as a career.  As tween/teens, you have this crucial opportunity to develop a future that gives you what you want, and a life or career doing what you want. But the attraction of having all your fun now, and forgetting about the future means that you  put off the necessary work to achieve a future that you want.  We all experience this problem, young and old, but for your generation it is even more critical to be clear about this quandary.
Explain your approach to this problem.
